Hi,

New owner of 2006 Robalo R245 with twin Yamaha 150's

The performance is a bit lacking. Based on some test reports I've seen, I should be hitting approx 45mph @ WOT 6000rpm. I'm topping out at approx 38mph @ 5700 rpm. At 4000 rpm I'm at around 23mph. (2 people, 3/4 tank gas, motor is in the #1 position).

My propellers are painted stainless...there is a 17 stamped on the side and according to yamaha, they only made a 13.75"x17 painted stainless prop. Two different test reports used a 14.25x17 and a 15"x17.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you!

dkay. I have a 2007 R240 with twin 150 Yamaha's. I have the 15-1/2 x17 Saltwater Series props and top out around 5700rpm and around 44mph.

Keep in mind the fuel level, number of people on board, water tank being full or empty, boat loaded with gear and ice, etc. then compare that to the test reports you are reading. Most all test reports are on less than 1/2 tank of fuel and 2 people on board, no gear, water, ice, beer, food, etc.

Try posting over at robaloboating.com there are a few guys over there that have been testing props and may be able to help you.
