Adding Trim Tabs to R200

Recommended Posts

Thinking of adding aftermarket trim tabs to my 2017 R200 to help even out the rif=de and handle heavier swell.

Very basic questions:

Is this a good idea?

How much should I expect to spend?

Any other inputs?

Thanks!

I installed Bennett Bolts on my R-180 and it completely changed my boats attitude, it feels like a bigger boat when it gets snotty out and it really helps in a cross wind.

I installed mine in about four hours so the cost was the tabs a 20 inch long drill bit and some 5200 sealer.

I installed hydraulic tabs in another boat and the Bolt's install much easier and less than half the time.

I too have been looking at adding trim tabs to my 2014 R200CC.  I purchased the boat used and just completed my first season and found that weight distribution is someti.es a problem from port to starboard.  I saw tabs that do not require wiring and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. I do boat off the Jersey cost and find the swells coming in and out of inlet to be challenging   All input is appreciated.
