Hey what's up? I'm here in miami too. In the area of sw 8th st and 157 ave. I've been out on the boat myself on the way to elliott key with 0 waves, nice and plane and It won't go past 45mph. Great boat, cuts through the waves super nice not like other boats that you feel big bang while going through choppy waters, this one is smooth, but I like speed so I want to see if someone has one doing more than 45mph. Someone wrote on here or on the other forum that they are doing 52mph but haven't got back to me to see what prop they are running. according to yamaha, the engine should be running at wide open throttle at 5700-6000 rpms to get optimum horsepower and so that the engine runs good. I have a 17" pitch prop. I bought a 15"pitch prop to try out and it sent the rpms to 6000-6100 but top speed of 43mph. Figuring if I buy the 16" pitch I should be around the 5700 rpm range and maybe gain 3-4 mph. Trying to get feedback from someone who has one to know what they got exactly before buying another prop.
Boat is great, your going to love it. Let me know once you have and we can take them for a run and hang out.
