    CC v. DC—help me decide

Good comments above. You are talking about the same hull, with different layouts. Which one do you prefer. We have the R247, and we love it. I/we don't care for the center console layouts, but many do. In the mid-atlantic area, DC's are quite popular and there would be no difference in trying to sell a DC or a CC. Good, well maintained boats are usually easily sellable. OGR makes a good point, though....in Florida CC's are much more popular, or seem to be based on walk-though's of just about any marina or showroom..

Obvious factory repair on Newly deliver R202

Most production boats get minor dings during the manufacturing process, and are usually repaired before the boat goes out. Sometimes the repairs are less than perfect, such as this one. I had a couple of similar problems with my R247, and I merely put them on the list of minor warranty items to deal with at the end of the 1st season. Dealer took care of it, and everything else on the list, with no issues. Relax and enjoy your boat for the summer.

That sounds like where it is mounted on my 2015 R247; mine was factory installed; I don't remember if it was standard or an option. Since 2015, some formerly standard items have become options (bow filler cushion, etc). If you have a GPS/Chartplotter/fishfinder, it will have a digital compass. A good old fashioned compass is always a good backup if you know how to use it and you have heading info....but you can have your backup as a handheld......no need to permanently install one......
